Which Course is For Me

Whether you’re brand new to pole dancing or a seasoned expert, knowing what level is right for you when trying out a new studio can be really confusing! Below you will find a description of all our 8-week courses with some universal tricks names so that you can match up your skills!

When transferring from another studio to Pole Princess, you will need to make contact with the studio if you’re trying to book into any course above Level One. Our courses are pre-requisited to make sure our students don’t accidentally enrol in a course that’s too high a skill set for them. A quick call or email will help us slot you into the right level so that you can then book online.

Level One Pole

Are you ready to ramp up your routine with a whole new fitness adventure? Pole dancing takes the boredom out of burning calories & delivers you with a workout that will keep you motivated through achievement in each and every class. This beginners 8-week pole course is designed to teach you the fundamentals of pole dance. Not sure if you can make it the same day & time each week? Not to worry, pick a day you can mostly commit to & you can switch around once the term has started. Perfect for all newbies, regardless of current level of fitness, this course will see you spinning in all directions in no time!

Some tricks covered in this level are basic sit, barbed wire, show girl, chair spin and basic climb

Level Two Pole

Let’s face it, you wanted to learn pole dancing for all the upside down tricks right? Well this is the level you’ll start to learn them! Get ready for a world of fitness upside down! In this 8-week course we’ll have you inverting every which way, spinning in all directions & turning inside out (mmm… maybe not so much the last one…). And the best part is we’ll put together a routine over the 8-weeks so that by the end of the course you can start pole karaoke! PS that’s code for performing at our end of term performance night 😉

Level Three Pole

Time to ramp things up a little. We can see your confidence growing girlfriend and it’s time to take it to the next level! Think you’re a smarty pants coz you can hang upside down? Well girlfriend, now we’re going to take the hands off! Squeeze those thighs because here comes some tricks that need serious thigh strength! And because we’re starting to turn you super hardcore, this level is going to have you dancing to a hardcore metal track! Get ready to be introduced to things you never thought your body could do.

Level Four Pole

Remember that time we told you pole dancing gives you confidence? Look in your pole bag my friend, how small are your hot pants these days? Tick! You’re now starting to own your hotness and you know what? You’ve worked hard for it and so you should! In this course we will start to prepare you for serious upper body strength in preparation for the levels to come. Loads of tricks in this level focus on lifting and holding poses to really give those arms a workout. Hey confident woman, don’t forget to take a selfie! (ps #poleprincess)

Level Five Pole

There’s only one thing better than fitness upside down. Wanna know what it is? Aerial fitness upside down! In this level we have you climbing to new heights and spinning into tricks that make you scream “haaaalllpppp”. Don’t worry, we’ll catch you! We also start to connect you more emotionally to music with ballads that tug at the heart strings. One hint: no matter what level you’re during a term two of any year, you MUST go back and do this level again during term two. Can you see Yonce’s halo?

Some tricks covered in this level include aerial inverts like chopper, inside and outside leg hang, static v’s, violator and bent leg butterfly.

Level Six Pole

You know when you tell a guy you do pole dancing for fitness and he busts out a flag on a street pole first crack at trying? How annoying is that? Men’s bodies are built better for pole dancing as the upper body strength is already there. But luckily for us, we make it look better 😉 Now that you’ve got all these tricks under your belt, you’re ready to take him on with your seriously strong tricks that will make his jaw drop. Yeah… that’s right, you can flag, but I can hand spring & shoulder mount so just call me boss!

Level Seven Pole

Does it feel bitter sweet? You think you’ve come to the end right? What will you do after this course when there’s nothing higher to move to? You’ll keep going honey because guess what? You can never learn it all in Level Seven. This level changes completely every two terms, giving you enough time to nail super advanced tricks but still always stay ahead of the latest pole trend. This level will make up a huge library of tricks for you that in no time you’ll start to compete on some of the best stages in the country. And because you’re part of Pole Princess, we’ll totally be there as your girl squad. We can cut your music, glitter your shoes and sew your costumes too so don’t worry, we got ya covered!

To transfer to us at this level you will need to book an assessment with a teacher first. Safety is paramount at Pole Princess and we want to make sure you’re ready for it to ensure a long and healthy pole journey.

Russian Pole Flow

What makes pole dancing so hot? When a pole dancer moves like soft flowing water in a calm sea, when one move connects seamlessly to another and then all of a sudden, like a flash of lighting BANG! She busts out some super awesome floor move that makes you go “whaaaatttt…”. That’s Russian Pole Flow and the best thing about it is anyone can do it. Russian Pole Flow teaches you how to take full control of your body and break down moves that require total muscle control. It combines super sexy dance moves with highly control base of pole moves. In this course you will learn these moves and put them into two routines over 8-weeks. You can join this course at the start of a new term and learn both routines, or mid-way and just learn one. This course is as flexible as the moves contained within it!
